We have this month completed the installation of Intercabinet Category 6 and OM4 Backbone Network Links at a Datacentre in Slough.
Our customer has existing equipment within a hosted datacentre environment in Slough. They required us to install Cat 6 & OM4 Multimode fibre optic link cabling between various cabinets to support their SAN and Network equipment.
We installalled approximately 300 Category 6 Hellerman Tyton Network Sciences Copper Panel to Panel Ports and 320 Pairs of OM4.
The OM4 Links are capable of Supporting Gigabit Ethernet Speeds up to 40Gb/s and the Copper Cat 6 will support 10Gb/s Ethernet.
The patch panels are labelled front & rear with engraved labels to ease with future identification.
All of the cabling was tested using our Fluke Certification tester and was completed in tight timescales in order to meet the customers deadlines.
