Unifi Managed Wireless WIFI network installation.

A large private residence in Surrey required a reliable high speed wireless WIFI network installing.

The property has 10 bedrooms and is spread over 3 stories, it required following our site survey 7 managed wireless access points installing discretely to give complete coverage.

We completed this job in collaboration with one of our Business partners, a local IT support company based in Windsor who support the IT and network systems at this property and multiple SME’s in the local area.

We installed at this property an Enterprise grade 300Mb/s Ubiquiti UNIFI wireless network solution, this managed WIFI network solution uses free software installed at an on-site PC or MAC to configure and provide usage stats, this helps keeps equipment costs low and performance high compared to other enterprise grade WIFI networks.

The Unifi WIFI management software can be installed onto a virtual cloud server which enables management and stats to be received from one or multiple sites for larger multisite deployments.

We wired the WIFI network access points using external Category 6 cabling around the outside of the building, taking care to keep the visual impact to a minimum.  We installed the access points at discrete locations on the inside of external walls and in loft spaces minimising impact to the property.

The access to the WIFI network is secured using a centrally administered SSID and encryption.

The users now have access to a seamless site wide network that requires a single password; users can seamlessly roam around the house without interruption to network resources and are very happy with the result.
